The concept of the Miami Design District is credited to Craig Robbins, who supposedly persuaded these influential designers to relocate to the area and recreate the run-down buildings that he purchased. There are currently 125 tenants in the area, but the area is quickly growing into a hot spot to develop condominium buildings so that others can move to the area and create a new type of Miami lifestyle. Today, the area is undergoing a rejuvenation project. Several architects and designers have come together to create a real neighborhood in which individuals can purchase residential homes and condominiums in the area. The community is also going to be designed so that it is pedestrian friendly. With these new residences in the future, the Design District will be able to flourish in more ways than one. Not only will the new homes bring buyers to the showrooms of artists, but the artists are also changing the way that condo buyers are considering their interior design.
All around the Miami Design District condo buyers are going to find a variety of amenities and views. The city and the ocean will easily be viewed from these fashionable complexes. The Design District is quickly becoming the hot place to live for the new generation of buyers moving to the Miami area.
